The close association and influence of Native Americans is intertwined throughout hoodoo. The Indian Head Penny is but one example. Native Americans were known for their scouting and tracking abilities, and so the Indian Head Penny was then equated with those functions in hoodoo. Carried in a mojo or lined up and nailed into a door frame, these pennies were tasked with being the "lookouts" for law enforcement and government officials. They may be used in any type of "Law Keep Away" working or working in which you are looking for someone or something. Please note that the coin you receive may be from any mint and year that these coins were struck.
